Schlegel Villages is a family owned and operated business that has been providing quality long­ term care and retirement living options across Ontario since 1953. From the very beginning, Ron Schlegel decided to move away from the ''institutional model of care'' and transform into an organization that honours a ''social model of living.'' Through the 'Village' concept, a Schlegel Village, whether it be long term care or retirement, offers the opportunity for residents to live a fulfilling and meaningful life.

The Village of Glendale Crossing Long Term Care has been in operation on Singleton Ave. since 2010. In the summer of 2023, Retirement living will open at the Village, accommodating individuals looking to age in place. From Independent living apartments to Retirement apartments along with Assisted Living and Memory Care suites, the retirement phase of the village will give residents the opportunity to utilize the village amenities and care options that best suite their current needs.

Model suites for the Retirement Village will be ready to tour in June of 2022. This will give people the chance to view suite options and make decisions on which Village 'neighbourhood' they would like to live in. There will be studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments as well as one bedroom plus den and 2 bedroom plus den suites to choose from.
