The Emerging Stronger Web Pro Series is a series of webinars designed for Chamber members by Chamber members with various areas of expertise, in an effort to help those in our business community “emerge stronger” even in the wake of COVID-19.

In this first webinar of the series, we invite you to join us to hear from 3 legal experts from Lerners LLP as they discuss what you must do now to protect your business in the areas of privacy and employment as it relates to the current and near-future impacts of COVID.

Alysia Christiaen
Alysia is Chief Privacy Officer at Lerners LLP. Her privacy practice focuses on advising businesses and other organizations on privacy and information management issues, including preparing privacy policies, developing training programs, conducting privacy impact assessments, and managing breaches. Alysia is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada.

Joe Masterson
Joe's employment law practice focuses on representing management clients in employment related litigation with an emphasis on wrongful dismissal, Human Rights and Employment Standards disputes. Joe has extensive experience counselling employers in litigation avoidance and regulatory compliance issues. His experience ranges from helping corporations plan staff reductions to counselling human resources managers on employee discipline and termination issues.

George Hamzo
George's practice is devoted to labour and employment matters. His work involves both advisory and advocacy services, where he represents both employees and employers. His advocacy work includes Employment Standards, wrongful dismissal, and human rights disputes and he has appeared at various levels of court in Ontario and represented his clients in front of numerous tribunals.
