We’re hosting Chamber members and the business community, in collaboration with Collaborative Canadian Energy Solutions (CCES), Resource Work, and Canada Powered by Women, for a roundtable discussion about timely topics impacting your business. Moderated by the London Chamber of Commerce, our speakers will explore key themes, including Productivity and GDP, The Cost of Doing Business, and the evolving US-Canada Relationship.
These topics are critical to understanding the current economic landscape and fostering informed strategies for growth and resilience. The breadth and status of the Canada-U.S. relationship is changing daily under the Trump administration, but priorities include re-shaping the contours of the Canada-U.S. relationship and threatening to impose tariffs. These challenges are further impacted by the ongoing changes to our Canadian political leadership landscape, All of which ultimately impacts productivity and GDP and the on-going costs of running any business.
The timing couldn't be more important for our Chamber members to engage and become involved. These conversations will and the ongoing changes to our Canadian political leadership landscape have heightened the urgency to engage and inform your Chamber/Board/Community members.
Tracey Bodnarchuk - CEO, Canada Powered by Women
Tracey is the CEO and one of the founders of Canada Powered by Women, a non-partisan, non-profit organization that represents the voice of Canadian women who believe sound energy policies are vital for the continuing economic prosperity of our country. By amplifying the voice of engaged women in the national energy transformation conversation, Canada Powered by Women aims to influence public perception, policymakers, and government to find common ground solutions to shape Canada's future. As a business leader and C-suite executive with 20-plus years of experience, Tracey has held senior roles with professional service firms such as Deloitte, KPMG, and Norton Rose Fulbright and in technology companies like SAP, J.D. Edwards and Microsoft. She was the CRO at Hopewell Residential and the first-ever brand manager at Suncor Energy.
A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s (formerly Ryerson) Journalism school, she also completed the Executive Marketing Program at Queen’s University and the Not-For-Profit Governance Essentials Program with the Institute of Corporate Directors via the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Tracey is an alumni of the Calgary Top 40 Under 40 and an active volunteer who is currently on the board of the Saddledome Foundation and the Alberta Hospice and Palliative Care Association.
Gerry Protti - President, Collaborative Canadian Energy Solutions
Gerry, with over 45 years of experience in energy, has served as the chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He uses his extensive background to advocate for Canadian energy and environmental policies and regulations that support the development of all forms of energy. Through his leadership, Gerry has played a significant role in shaping policies that aim to balance energy development with environmental responsibility. His expertise ensures that Canada’s energy sector remains competitive, sustainable, and adaptable to the evolving global energy landscape.
